How Does a Student Like You Win?

The judges’ score will be based on the following factors:

1. Originality
2. Reflection – how the quote relates to something in your life
3. Punctuation/Grammar
4. Content – the judges have the right to refuse any essay that contains inappropriate language.

However, this score is only 10% of the final score.

We encourage you to invite your friends and family to view your essay and vote for it by using your essay link. Each person could vote up to twice a day and the more votes a particular essay gets, the higher the likelihood is of the essay being selected to win. When the voting period has ended, the winner will be chosen.

You will be able to track the top ten scoring essays here. Once the winners are chosen, a check will be made to the student and sent to an address that the applicant has provided.

The essays that are submitted become property of CrossLites and have a chance of being displayed on the website. The winning essays and short bios of the corresponding authors will also be displayed on the CrossLites website.
