The main reason for popularity of Walmart’s stores is that one can find almost everything required in everyday life at their stores. Walmart scholarship is offered in distinct categories reaching to a diverse range of people, and can be classified as– • Sam Walton Community Scholarship - It is given to seniors graduating from high school and it is for general public. It requires that the person is a resident of U.S, has a cumulative average GPA of 2.5 atleast and appeared for SAT or ACT. • Walmart Dependent Scholarship – It is a college scholarship for Walmart associates and Walmart accepts applications and awards this scholarship four times a year. This is a onetime scholarship granted to graduating seniors from high school with a financial need and cumulative GPA of 2.5 atleast. • Walton’s Family Foundation Scholarship – It is a four year scholarship, especially for dependents of Walmart’s employees. The criteria for awarding this scholarship are a pre-specified minimum test scores for SAT or ACT. • Walmart Higher Reach Scholarship Program – It is a scholarship program for reliant of Walmart associates and Sam’s Club and is applicable for pursuing undergraduate as well as graduate courses. Walmart is awarding scholarships since last 30 years and amount of money awarded in scholarships and funds for education is increasing every year.
