Purpose of award: To support Alaskan high school students in their pursuit of higher education.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be high school seniors with the promise of future excellence and achievement. They must be residents of Alaska and U.S. citizens accepted into a college, university or technical school as a full-time student. Applicants must not be in default on any federal student loans. They must include an essay on a social issue of importance to them and three letters of recommendation with their application.
Target applicant: High school students
Minimum GPA: None
Amount: $1,500.
Number of awards: 18. Scholarship may be renewable.
Deadline: April 2.
